What are your goals?
We all need to have goals, whether formal or informal, personal or professional.
When it comes to health and fitness, it’s important you understand why you do what you do now and where you want to be in the future.
I hear from many people who exercise regularly that they get disheartened because they never seem to get anywhere. So I ask ‘what are your goals’ and often I’m met with a blank expression or I get a vague response such as ‘I want to be thin’.
Regularly exercise is vital for a long and healthy life, however, if you have specific results you’d like to achieve then it’s important you really understand what your goals are.
Life is a journey, so alongside your personal and professional goals, it’s also important to understand what you want to get out of your diet and exercise.
This is where I can help you hone in on exactly what you want to achieve and turn those dreams into a reality.
As a personal trainer, it’s my job to help you concentrate your efforts, provide motivation and support and help you recognise the distractions that can lead you astray.
And once you begin to start achieving these goals you will see the progress you are making which in turn builds your self confidence and your pride in what you have achieved.
Here is a little exercise for you to think about
What are your goals:
- What is your big picture? What do you want to do with your life say over the next ten years to identify the large-scale goals that you want to achieve.
- How do you get there? What are the smaller targets you need to achieve in order to hit your lifetime goals?
And now you have your plan and the journey you must take to live the life you desire.
